Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026.
#1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Fleetwood Studio LLC ("Fleetwood Studio", "we", "us"), a Virginia limited liability company. They cover AriaTone Radio Player, its website at radio.ariatone.com, and the app you can install from it (together, "Radio Player").
By using Radio Player, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
#2. A free player for other people's stations
Radio Player is free. It's a player, not a radio station: it plays internet radio stations that other people run, through our sound engine and visuals. That means:
- The music isn't ours. Every station, and everything it broadcasts (its music, programs, titles, covers and names), belongs to that station and its rights holders. We don't host, store, record or rebroadcast any station's audio: your browser connects to the station itself, and the sound goes straight from the station to you.
- The stations we offer are independent. Radio Player comes with no stations of its own: it plays the ones you choose. It offers you Radio Paradise, Naim Radio and Czech Radio Jazz, stations its maker chose for their music and how they sound, and plays them only if you add them to your stations. They're independent: Radio Paradise is listener-supported, Naim Radio is run by Naim Audio, and Czech Radio Jazz by Czech Radio, the Czech public broadcaster. They don't run, sponsor or endorse Radio Player, we don't run them, and their names belong to them. Their own terms apply to their streams, and they ask for their listeners' support on their own sites.
- Stations come and go. A station may change, move, pause or stop its streams, or block players like ours, at any time. We can't promise any station will play, or keep playing.
- Your own stations. You may add other stations by their stream address. Add only streams you're allowed to listen to, and listen to them as their owners allow. You're responsible for the stations you add.
- Listening only. Radio Player is for listening. Don't use it, or anything you do with it, to record, copy, rebroadcast or redistribute a station's audio.
#3. Who can use Radio Player
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use Radio Player only with a parent's or guardian's permission. We may limit who can use Radio Player.
There's no account and no sign-in. Radio Player keeps your stations and choices for your browser, under a random identifier it stores there in a cookie. Anyone using that browser uses them. Clearing your browser's data, or using another browser or device, starts afresh, and we can't bring stations back.
Features, limits (such as how many stations you can keep) and looks may change, appear or go away at any time. Radio Player may be slow or unavailable, and may lose data, including the stations you add.
#4. Radio Player and its visuals are ours
Radio Player, apart from the stations and their content (section 2) and anything you add yourself, belongs to Fleetwood Studio and our licensors, and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret and other laws. That includes our software and code, our audio processing, our visualizers and the shaders, designs, animations and looks they produce, our interface, text, names, logos and branding. AriaTone and the AriaTone logo are trademarks of Fleetwood Studio LLC. Our visualizers in particular are proprietary and confidential: their design and the way they're made are our trade secrets.
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Radio Player, as we offer it, for your own non-commercial listening, under these terms. We keep every right we don't expressly give you.
Radio Player also includes software that other people wrote and share under open-source licenses, such as React and Signalsmith Audio's sound-processing libraries. Each stays under its own license, and nothing in these terms limits what that license lets you do with it. Their copyright and license notices are at /licenses.txt.
You may share short screenshots or screen recordings of Radio Player in use, for example on social media, as long as they show it as it runs, credit AriaTone Radio Player, aren't used to sell anything or to copy or recreate our visuals, and respect the rights of the station that's playing (a recording with a station's music in it needs that station's and its rights holders' permission, not just ours).
#5. What you may not do
You agree not to, and not to help or let anyone else:
- Copy, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decode or otherwise try to extract or work out the code, shaders, algorithms or designs of Radio Player, except where the law allows it in spite of this restriction.
- Capture, extract, record or inspect Radio Player's shaders, graphics programs or rendering (for example with graphics debuggers or browser developer tools) to copy, study for reuse, or recreate our visuals or any part of them.
- Make, sell or publish anything that copies or imitates our visualizers, their looks or our interface, or that is derived from them.
- Remove, hide or change any copyright notice, license notice or other mark of ownership in Radio Player, or any station's credit.
- Record, copy, rebroadcast or redistribute any station's audio through Radio Player, or use Radio Player to get around a station's own terms or limits.
- Use Radio Player or its content to build, train or improve a competing product, or any machine learning or AI model.
- Access Radio Player with bots, scrapers or any automated means, or in any way other than through the interface we provide.
- Get around, test or interfere with our security, access controls or limits (such as how fast changes are taken), or use another person's browser identifier.
- Overload, disrupt or harm Radio Player, our servers, the stations, or other listeners' use of them.
- Rent, resell, sublicense or otherwise give anyone access to Radio Player.
- Use Radio Player to break any law, or to infringe anyone's rights.
#6. What you give us
You keep whatever rights you have in what you put into Radio Player: the names and addresses of stations you add, and the feedback you send ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process and display Your Content to run, protect and improve Radio Player. This license lasts while we hold Your Content, and for backups for a reasonable time after.
- Your stations are kept for your browser and shown only to you, and to us to run Radio Player.
- Feedback: if you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
- Your promises: you have the right to everything you put in, and it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights. Don't put anything private in a station's name or address, such as a password.
#7. Fees, privacy and other services
Fees. Radio Player is free. If we ever start charging for it or for a feature, we'll tell you the price and the terms first, and you'll only pay if you choose to.
Privacy. We don't ask who you are: no account, name or email. We keep a random identifier for your browser (in a cookie, so your stations stay yours), the stations you add (their names, addresses, and how they played when you added them), which of the stations we offer you chose, which of their streams you play, how it played and how well (how long you listened, and how often the stream cut out or reconnected; for your own stations, only that it was one of yours, never its address), the notices you've dismissed, and the feedback you send, along with the preset you were on. Your network address is used briefly, in memory, to limit how fast anyone can make changes, and is never stored. What's kept for a browser that hasn't opened Radio Player for 400 days is deleted. We use them to run and improve Radio Player, and we don't sell them. Your sound and view settings (volume, EQ, Bit-exact, lighter streams, looks, visual quality, your last station, and whether you've seen the welcome screen and the tour) stay on your device. Because your browser connects to each station itself, the stations see your connection as they would with any player, under their own privacy policies. Our Privacy Policy says more.
Other services. Radio Player relies on other companies' services, including Fly.io (hosting), Cloudflare (network, security and backups), and on the stations themselves; our server fetches the stations' public song lists to show what's playing, and looks up albums and covers in MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive, open music databases. We're not responsible for services or stations we don't control, and their own terms apply to them.
#8. Ending, disclaimers and liability
Ending. You can stop using Radio Player at any time. We may suspend or end your access, or Radio Player itself, at any time, with or without notice, including if we believe you've broken these terms. Sections 2, 4 to 6, 8 and 9 still apply after access ends.
Disclaimers. RADIO PLAYER AND THE STATIONS IT PLAYS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE RADIO PLAYER OR ANY STATION WILL BE AVAILABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT YOUR STATIONS OR DATA WILL BE KEPT. WE'RE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT ANY STATION BROADCASTS. Listening at high volume can damage your hearing: keep the volume safe, especially with Bit-exact on, which plays at full volume.
Limitation of liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, FLEETWOOD STUDIO AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES AND SUPPLIERS WON'T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL. BECAUSE RADIO PLAYER IS FREE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT RADIO PLAYER OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity. You'll defend and compensate Fleetwood Studio for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your breach of these terms, Your Content, the stations you add, or how you use Radio Player.
#9. Changes, law and contact
Changes. We may update these terms. We'll show the date of the latest version, and tell you in Radio Player before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Radio Player after that, you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may ask a court for an injunction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
Copyright complaints. If you believe something in Radio Player infringes your copyright, write to [email protected] with the work, where it appears, and your contact details. For a station's broadcast, please contact that station: we don't host or control its audio.
The rest. These terms are the whole agreement between us about Radio Player. If a part can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part straight away, we haven't waived it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to a company that takes over Radio Player.
